Magical Kenya Travel Expo 2025: Showcasing Innovation and Investment in Africa’s Tourism Future

The Magical Kenya Travel Expo (MKTE) 2025, held from 1st to 3rd October at Uhuru Gardens, Nairobi, brought together local and international tourism stakeholders under one roof to network, collaborate, and reimagine Africa’s position in the global travel landscape. The annual event, organized by the Kenya Tourism Board (KTB), remains East Africa’s largest tourism trade fair and a vital platform for promoting Kenya as a premier destination for leisure, business, and investment.

This year’s expo ran under the theme “Sustainable Tourism Growth: Unlocking Africa’s Potential”, emphasizing the power of collaboration and innovation in driving the continent’s tourism agenda forward.

As part of the three-day event, PrideInn Hotels, Resorts & Camps proudly hosted an engaging stand at Booths B148 and B149, where guests, partners, and trade visitors interacted with our team, learned more about our unique offerings across Kenya, and explored our latest promotions. The stand attracted significant attention from both local and international delegates eager to experience firsthand the warmth and professionalism that define the PrideInn brand.

Beyond showcasing our properties, the expo provided an opportunity to highlight how Kenyan hospitality brands are leading in service excellence, sustainability, and digital transformation. PrideInn’s participation reaffirmed its commitment to driving innovation and creating memorable guest experiences while contributing to Kenya’s vibrant tourism ecosystem.

During the event, our Group Managing Director, Hasnain Noorani, OGW, took part in an insightful panel discussion titled “Investment Opportunities: Gateway to Africa.” Joined by fellow industry leaders, he shared perspectives on how strategic investments, regional cooperation, and technological integration can accelerate tourism growth across the continent. The session concluded with an engaging Q&A that allowed direct interaction with participants keen to understand the role of private sector leadership in shaping Africa’s tourism future.

The expo’s opening ceremony was graced by the Deputy President of Kenya, H.E. Kithure Kindiki, who served as Chief Guest, alongside the Cabinet Secretary for Tourism and Wildlife, Rebecca Miano, and the Principal Secretary in the State Department of Tourism, John Ololtuaa, among other senior government officials and dignitaries.

In her address, CS Rebecca Miano emphasized that Kenya’s tourism growth strategy is anchored on three key pillars: attracting investment in tourism and conservation, renewed and bold destination marketing, and capacity building in tourism and wildlife conservation. She reiterated the government’s ambition to grow arrivals to 5.5 million visitors annually, generating 10 million bed nights through these initiatives. The Deputy President also underscored tourism’s crucial role as a vital pillar of Kenya’s economy, noting that revenue collected from the sector increased by USD 3.5 million, signalling steady post-pandemic recovery and renewed investor confidence.

The Magical Kenya Travel Expo 2025 once again demonstrated Kenya’s leadership in tourism innovation and collaboration. For PrideInn Hotels, Resorts & Camps, it was an opportunity to connect, engage, and contribute to conversations shaping Africa’s tourism future. We remain dedicated to delivering exceptional hospitality, fostering partnerships, and driving growth within Kenya’s travel and tourism industry, one guest experience at a time.
